On behalf of City Council and the people of Edmonton , Alberta ’ s Capital City , I extend warm greetings to readers of the 2 nd annual edition of Sheet Metal Works .
The construction sector continues to be one of the driving forces of Edmonton ’ s economy . Currently , thousands of new buildings and construction projects are taking shape across our city . By installing and maintaining HVAC systems in these structures , skilled sheet metal workers play an important role in ensuring these buildings remain safe , healthy and livable .
I thank the Sheet Metal Association of Alberta for maintaining the safety and well-being of sheet metal workers throughout the province . You ’ re helping make Edmonton a more prosperous , sustainable and competitive city .
