World According To Continued... in every issue Photography by Laura McBryde “LOVE IS THE MY GREATEST JOY: My family. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with such an incredible family. I love watching our boys as they grow and learn new things, and “doing life” with my husband. Life is infinitely greater with my three guys! MY MOTTO: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purposes.” -Romans 8:28 CONFIDENCE THAT NO MATTER WHAT, YOU HAVE SOMEONE ON YOUR TEAM... MY GREAT ESCAPE: Sapelo Island. Sapelo is this gorgeous, sparsely inhabited island off the coast of Georgia, and a true escape. There are miles of empty beaches, barely any cell phone service and no stores, restaurants, or attractions. It really is a little piece of paradise! And, running! There’s not much that makes me feel better than pounding the payment. MY REAL LIFE HERO/SHERO: My grandfather, Bruce Hall, passed away about two years ago. But, I feel his influence in my life every day. He was a great example for the Lord, a constant encourager, and an incredible storyteller. The story of his life pointed me and countless others to our Savior. His wisdom and guidance is something that has impacted me greatly and I hope to be able to pass these same things down to my children and, one day, grandchildren. MY PASSIONS: My faith, family, running, helping others, traveling, the beach, and a good book HOW I MET MY HUSBAND: My husband I were introduced through my Realtor and his childhood friend, who thought we’d be a great match. It turns out, she was right! We fell in love and were married a little over a year later. Not only did I marry the man of my dreams, but I also gained an incredible family and two precious little boys as my sons. WHAT LOVE MEANS TO ME: Love is the confidence that no matter what, you have someone on your team. It’s building a life together, supporting and encouraging one another, being there to talk and listen to each other, growing together, and the place that you know is home. It’s the fireworks and butterflies and, most of all, just knowing that you’re with the one created especially for you. WHAT I HOPE TO TEACH MY CHILDREN ABOUT LOVE: It is my prayer that our boys will see in us true love - love for God, love for them, and each other - and that this love will always give them the confidence they need to chase after their dreams and feel secure. I hope that more than hearing us tell them we love them as we do, they feel it through our actions and know that they are always loved. 128 FEBRUARY 2016 SHEMAGAZINE.COM
