MY FAMILY: My husband Kevin, sons K.C. and Kaden
MY TOWN: Florence
MY WORK: Director of Marketing and Public Affairs at Francis Marion University
WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB: I love the institution I work for and the people I work
with. As a graduate of FMU with both a degree in marketing and an MBA, it has always been
my dream to work for the University. I believe that education is one of the greatest investments we can make and I feel grateful to have a role in promoting higher education for the
University. Francis Marion provided me with a great education and has given me a great
career. I’m thankful to be able to give back.
MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE: Overextending myself. I love being involved and am interested in
so many things, which oftentimes leads to a hard time saying no. The book, “The Best Yes”
by Lysa TerKeurst, was a huge help. My husband is also great at reminding me to “simplify,”
which definitely helps too!
THE THEME SONG TO MY LIFE: There are so many songs I love that fit my life and outlook,
but “Walking on Sunshine” immediately comes to mind. I’m a glass half-full kind of person
and am genuinely happy 99% of the time.
MY GUILTY PLEASURE: Frozen yogurt and a little reality TV. More often than not, I’m the instigator of the frozen yogurt trips, not our boys!
I FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL WHEN: I’m out with my husband having fun or after a long, refreshing run.
MY SECRET TO A LOVING LIFE: Finding joy in the small things and living life to the fullest,
putting God first and investing in my family, and laughing, smiling and breaking a sweat
every day.
MY SKINCARE WEAPON OF CHOICE: Rodan and Fields Redefine Regimen
SOMETHING YOU’LL ALWAYS FIND IN MY FRIDGE: Chobani Yogurt
MY INSPIRATION: My family is my inspiration. I want to be the best wife and mom that I can
be for them and set a good example for them to follow in all that I do. I want my life to be a
reflection of what matters most - my relationship with Christ and love for my family.
WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE: “God is in control. He gives me the strength I need no matter what
is going on in my life and fills me with an overwhelming hope for the future that only He can
give. My verse for this year is Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and
peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
