Founded in 1948 by Leroy Shaw, Shaw & Sons is a fully integrated
construction company specializing in structural and architectural
concrete. For more than 40 years, Leroy Shaw personally placed
and finished concrete on his way to the top of the construction
industry in Southern California, and in the process set the company’s
procedures of how to build effectively with concrete. He also established the company’s reputation of craftsmanship, project management, and customer satisfaction.
When Leroy spoke, people listened. His more notable sayings

Shaw & Sons originated in the structural concrete industry. …its
officers came from the field. Concrete is an enormously complex
product, and thoroughly understanding the dynamics and details of
structural concrete construction from hands-on experience is critical
when building architectural concrete projects.
In their early years, Shaw & Sons CEO Lee Shaw and President
Ron Shaw worked in the field on structural projects including
constructing column pad footings, grade beams, footings, setting
structural steel bolt templates, and forming, placing, finishing and
erecting hundreds of precast concrete panels. Lee and Ron have
pumped, placed and finished more cubic yards of concrete than
they care to remember; however they still love doing it …and still
do. Like many of the company’s superintendents, they have extensive experience with wood framing and built-out construction, and
have managed many low-rise and high-rise projects.These years of
in-the-field construction experience have proven invaluable to the
company and its clients, as reflected in its many diverse projects.
