Shaw & Sons used a conventional High Early, heavy highway mix design over compacted road base, and although not recommended, these routes were opened for use only three days after placing the concrete. Shaw & Sons’ Lithocrete® paving has been specified for use on many public works projects by Southern California municipalities, including the City of Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Brea, Hermosa Beach, Beverly Hills,Anaheim, Los Angeles, Culver City, and Long Beach.
