Purple Lithocrete® plaza at Ahmanson Theatre was the inaugural use of Shaw & Sons’ Lithocrete®. As part of its standard design services,
Shaw & Sons recommended the colors and designs that tie in with the theatre’s interior motif. Lithocrete® glass colors give a much broader
range of colors with less cost, such as the 20% heat-fractured purple glass that was used for the Ahmanson Theatre plaza. Lithocrete® glass
greatly enhances a plaza’s esthetic appearance compared to other more ordinary finishes, and can add a distinctive but subtle design quality.
