he historic Balboa Pavilion returns
to take its place as the centerpiece
along Balboa Peninsula’s Main Street.
Property owners are sprucing up the
building facades to help recreate the charm of the
Village. The City of Newport Beach’s renovation
project improves and complements the Balboa
Village scene by upgrading the street pavement
using sturdy materials with classic patterns and
colors to create a vintage Village atmosphere.
Granite, mother-of-pearl, and indigo glass using special acid wash and pavement finishing techniques
create dramatic pavement improvements on Balboa
Boulevard and the pier plaza. New streetlights,
benches, pots, trees, hanging baskets, and landscaped areas add to the transformation of the Village
into a residential, entertainment and recreation mecca.
