John Gialanella is a Tenure-Track
Assistant Professor of Print Production at
Western Washington University. He earned
his BFA from Siena Heights University and
his MFA from the University of Arizona.

Gialanella’s work focus is primarily in
print and publication design, as well as
personal projects in the form of artist
books. Since 2016, he has been working
through AIGA on design for social change,
teaming with other designers to develop
Parallel: A Game of Design, a table-top
card game introducing creative professions
to middle and high school students in
areas underserved by the arts.
