Jonathan Bradley in the men’s race
was our performance of the day (see
also runner of the quarter). He finished first in a time of 1:32:17, whilst
the time was not his best by his own
admission, what impressed us was
that he finished first, as a age 50 – 59
category runner, beating everyone in
the over 40 and under 40 age groups.
system.
In addition we also had
our Shanghai Running
shop where runners
were also able to
purchase the Shanghai
Running branded running apparel. As well
as the new Shanghai
Running Wild Card.
Once again we would
like to thank the
management at Gucun Park for their
co-operation and help with the race
organisation. We would like to thank
all our sponsors and race partners.
We would like to thank the schools
who attended for their continued
support in the school race.
Huuphoc Nguy finished second in a
time of 1:35:56 and what impressed
us about Huuphoc performance was
that he completed race wearing a
pair of croc shoes. Jacopo Majocchi
finished third in a respectable time of
1:36:26.
Presentation
We would like to thank Audrey
Gordon for the warm up routine and
also the Japanese Taeko band for the
atmospheric drumming experience.
We would especially like to thank
again all our volunteers who without
their help these races would not be
possible to organise.
Finally, we would like to thank all of
you runners who take part and also
Ceremony
The top three male and female runners in each race won trophies. The
awards ceremony was dominated
by that Finnish running dynasty that
is the Kauri family; with each family
member winning a trophy. We also
welcomed a contingent of runners
from the Flying Finns club in Suzhou.
We hope you enjoyed the cold post
race beer!
Post race food was again provided
by FG Foods and another popular
addition was the draught craft beer.
This ensured that runners were able
to have an ample post race refuelling
