Adult 5km Race The first to finish in the adult races were not surprisingly the 5km runners. The women’s race was again dominated by Bridget Waters who ran home comfortably to win in a time of 22:03. Rocio Donaire, who also brought a good group of runners, she finished 2nd in 24:16; with Inge Wesseling finishing in 3rd place in a time of 26:03. The men’s 5km race was a much stronger field than in the first race in the series and this was reflected with some very good finishing times. First to finish was another Shanghai Running regular Will Marks, fresh from his exploits in North Korea (see article), in an excellent time of 18:22; Marc Bove was second but also under 19 minutes in a time of 18:52; with Schafer Wilson finishing third in a time of 19:05.
