Grey Fox finished up and wrapped the bundle in a woolen cloth.

“Come.”

Standing Deer grabbed his teacher's hat and stick; he handed them over and they soon began their walk.

Standing Deer nearly ran to keep up with the Old Man; “May I ask My Teacher, what was the chant you used?”

Grey Fox remained quiet for sometime as they moved along the dusty road.

Standing Deer did not know where they were going; he knew they were going North by the moss and wind. He was happy to walk with his Teacher, though he was a bit troubled by the ponderous look on the face of Grey Fox.

Standing Deer hoped he had not asked anything inappropriate, as he felt a bit uneasy. He decided it would be best if he were to remain silent for awhile.

After half an hour of silence, Grey Fox stopped and turned to his student; “You asked a good question back there, Standing Deer. I appreciate that. However, you are not yet ready for the answer to your question.”

“Why's that?” The words flew out before standing Deer could take them back.

Grey fox looked at the young boy. “I remember when I was your age. I too was quick to speak, quick to think and wanted to know everything then and there.”
