03 Annual Report for the Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2014 Operating in Drought In 2014, California experienced its third year of dry conditions. A statewide drought was confirmed by Governor Jerry Brown’s emergency declaration on January 17. By educating and working with our retail and wholesale customers throughout the year, we saved 8 billion gallons across our regional system. If the drought continues, this savings will allow us to stretch our supplies into next year and minimize impacts to our customers. Despite challenging conditions, we delivered 217 million gallons daily to our customers. We provided 100 percent of San Francisco’s municipal power needs through hydroelectric, solar and biogas generation. That’s an environmental savings equal to 124 million gallons of gasoline. And we cleaned 40 billion gallons of wastewater for return to the bay and ocean. Eight Billion Gallons of water saved across our regional system Table of Contents /5 Operations / 7 Workforce / 9 Engagement / 11 Finance / 12 Planning
