PORT
OF PALM BEACH
Over 4.0 billion worth
of commodities travel
through the port
annually. It is the only
port in Florida with
a dock rail.
• PORTMIAMI averaged roughly 890,000 TEUs annually during the last five
years, with its largest trading partners being Brazil, Colombia, and China. This
volume ranks second in the state and one of two ports nationwide that have a
trade surplus. PortMiami is a major economic driver for the Region, supporting
180,000 jobs with a total economic impact of $18.0 billion, which is only expected
to increase with the completion of the Panama Canal and new developments
designed to sustain and augment trade. PortMiami recently underwent massive
renovations to expedite trade from the Port and to accommodate the postPanamax vessels of the future.
