has achieved favorite child status of our conservation efforts. However, as America in particular finds itself at a crossroads and protected natural land may become subject to privatization and development, it is more important than ever to support protected natural areas. Additionally, while these percentages are undoubtedly alarming, when taking a closer look at how our relationship with protected natural land has developed, there is great reason to uphold and praise the accomplishments that are our protected terrestrial natural areas in support of future MPA implementation.
