5. Surfing
The Archipelago has waves for both expert and beginner surfers. It’s possible to just rent a surf board and take a taxi from the town of Bocas del Toro to surf spots or to even catch a water taxi to head to the most popular surf spots on other nearby islands. Various surf schools located throughout Bocas del Toro offer surfing lessons and guided tours of the best spots to go surfing. Some, like Mono Loco Surf School (http://monolocosurfschool.com), even combine a week of surfing with yoga or Spanish language classes.
