SEVENSEAS - 27

Left: Massive jellyfish swarms off the shores of Florida stung hundreds of swimmers, killed protected fish, and caused the shutdown of a nuclear power-plant. An increase in jellyfish swarms may indicate changes to ocean ecosystems, which the National Park Service is monitoring through long-term ecological studies of natural resources such as the coral reefs in Biscayne. This photo was taken in 6m of water off Rapid Bay Jetty South Australia. Divers from all over the world travel to Rapid Bay every year for this

magnificent experience. Carl Charter Consultancy/Marine Photobank

The Marine Photobank is a leading visual resource that has galvanized people from all over the planet to collect, share and download marine photos, images and graphics that shed light on how humans have affected life in the ocean. The Marine Photobank was founded in response to a lack of readily available, high quality underwater and above water ocean conservation images. These images are available at no cost for non-commercial purposes as well

as for media use.
