WAKE AND SHAKE

We all know vacations are for seeing the sights, tasting the cuisine and overall having a good time, but many of us are also looking forward to squeezing in some exercise during this time too. We tend to have more time to ourselves and in our minds we will get a few workouts in throughout the vacation.

I find that so many of my clients and friends have amazing intentions that don’t always get put into reality because of a lack of organization and pre-planning. Being successful with your workouts requires you planning them out before you even print your boarding pass. When on travel, some day plans don’t really get moving until very late morning, afternoon or sometimes even the night time. So, put your workout on your agenda for first thing in the morning.

I’m not saying you have to set an alarm for 6am, though I won’t knock it. All I’m saying is make sure your workout is scheduled for the first part of the day and you wont miss out on it. Even 30 minutes of circuits or jogging can go a long way to balancing out those glasses of pinot noir or pineapple filled pina coladas.

Hey SEVENSEAer's,

My name is Coach G. I am a Washington, DC based health and fitness coach dedicated to helping people look good, feel great, and stay healthy. But, before any of that, I am a traveller. Being a traveller I understand how tough it is to stay on track with your fitness and nutrition goals while also staying focused on the sights and local cuisine. That's why I'm excited to be able to each month bring you guys a few of my special personal tricks to keep you in shape no matter where you are!

Sometimes with all this travel, we tend to leave both our work and workouts at home, leaving us a little heavier and rounder on the return flight. Fortunately I’ve got a few tips and Coach G tricks to help you return home just the way you left, fit, happy, and fierce.
