Mrs . Burçak ’ s classes are fun because we do a lot of reading . I got to read one of the books in the library and then make a video for it . It ’ s like a commercial . And anyone who gets my book from the library can see my video . You need something like an iPad or phone . Then you can use the QR code on the book . Reading is really fun in Grade 3 !!! I found lots of cool books this year . My favourite one is a superhero book . It ’ s not like Superman or Batman . It ’ s a boy called Charlie who has superhero underpants . This book so funny ! The librarians said that reading gives us super-powers . I think this is right . In third grade we are super readers . And now we used our super-powers to make the books in the library better . All students in the school can find books with QR codes . And third graders made the videos for the codes . It ’ s awesome ! This year I like reading a lot more . We get to choose books and read in the classroom . It ’ s called DEAR time . We can sit on the carpet with a pillow . Reading a book this way is really relaxing . It doesn ’ t feel like work . It ’ s just fun . And my teacher says that when we read for fun we are still learning .

We did something very exciting this year in Grade 3 . It ’ s for the Frank Hall Library . But it doesn ’ t just use the books in the library . It uses technology , too . We made videos to put with quick-response ( QR ) codes and the codes will be on the library books . It ’ s really cool ! I read 50 Below Zero by Robert Munsch . It ’ s hilarious !
