Can you imagine an enormous desert that was actually a gigantic lake 110 years ago ? Well , in Holes , there was a lake called Green Lake that dried up and turned into a desolate desert . Hydroponics is a subset of hydroculture , the method of growing plants without soil , using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent . Terrestrial plants may be grown with only their roots exposed to the mineral solution , or the roots may be supported by an in inert medium , such as perlite or gravel . The nutrients in hydroponics can be from fish waste , duck manure , or normal nutrients . Water conservation is a very big world problem . Every day , we waste a lot of water by trying to grow plants in an inefficient way . If we don ’ t start to conserve water today , we will continue to waste more and more water . As a company , we created a new hydroponic system and we built this system at our own factory . In our system , we reuse the same water over and over again . The main part of this system is the water filter which cleans the water which has already been used so it can be reused again . We call this part the “ wheel ” because this process is nearly endless . The water in our system finishes only after the plants use all of it . This takes about one month . On rainy days , the pipes collect water drops from the rooftops . When the system needs more water , the wheel cleans the rainfall collected from the rooftop and it is used in the system . With this system , farmers will need less water to grow their plants . So as a world , we will use less water and in turn conserve water easily . Also , by using the rainfall , we double the amount of conserved water so we help the environment twice as much . People can also build their own system on their roofs with cheap materials and a filter which we provide for them . If we , as a world , start to use this system and conserve water , the amount of water won ’ t be in danger anymore . Nowadays , water is in danger because people irresponsibly waste it . We built two new systems which are connected and help us to conserve more water in one easy method . One is named the “ wheel ” which filters and reuses the same water until the water finishes . The second system collects the rainfall from rooftops and uses it in our hydroponic system . Any extra water collected from the rainfall is filtered and sent back into the ecosystem . This system will not only help the environment , but it will also conserve more water for our future generations . Don ’ t forget that we will all have a better life with more water .
