GRADE 8 - FILM PROJECT
In grade 8 we completed a film project by retelling famous fairy tales with our own creative twists ! As part of our unit on multicultural storytelling we explored popular and common themes told through fairy tales . Our project went through several stages . Our first goal was to learn about our assigned fairy tales by using a class set of iPads to learn more about the original stories . Next , we worked as a group to come up with an original retelling of the story . To prepare for filming we had to create a storyboard where we could plan the flow of the animation by writing down the sentences that we would use as well as planning our photos and videos . Finally it was the day for filming ! We prepared costumes and props to use for our photos and videos and used the SEV campus as the setting of our very own fairy tale . Our last task was to use animoto in the computer laboratory to create our fi- nal product . It was really fun when we got to watch our videos in class together !
