The Leopard Boutique

By: Jack Idstrom

The leopard boutique. One of the greatest things East High school has to offer low-income families. Walter knew that, so he went down and asked the head of the boutique, Kris Barta. Kris said that the boutique needed bras and underwear. Walter then knew that he had a mission. He and Caroline created a flyer asking for clothes and money donations. He also spread the word throughout social media.

Once Walter had all of his donations dropped off to his house, he went to target with the donation money and bought more clothes for the boutique. Overall, his project was a massive success. Caroline and Walter had been the only ones working on the project, so they decided to have the class go down to the Leopard Boutique, and help sort the clothes. “I can tell that students are going to love these clothes,” said Abby Swanson, a fellow classmate. Another classmate James Christensen added on, “These clothes aren’t for me, but I feel a great pride that they will go to a student who needs them.” Walter and Caroline’s service to the leopard boutique was one of the best, most influential, and important projects that took place. They were able to give back right into the school, and thankfully help those in need. Walter’s last remark, after he had successfully completed his project was, “This service project was the highlight of my time spent in class, and I’m grateful Caroline and I were able to give back to the school that has done so much for us.”
