We departed from Or Tambo at 22:30 that evening and eight hours later we landed in Dubai with a three hour stop over. After browsing around in the shops we were on our way to Port Sudan. We touched down in Sudan two hours later. With all the excitement and cattle class seats, sleeping was not on the agenda for Daniel and myself. Going through customs we met up with the other guests of the trip, one of them being Ray Montoya, aka the perminator from Oman, this man has fished the world, has a wealth of knowledge and stories. To top it all he is very artistic producing beautiful sketches and paintings, much like Gavin Erwin.
After raiding the only shop in Sudan International airport of mostly for bottled water, we all got in a taxi for a four-hour trip to a military harbor where we would board the infamous My Scuba Libra. Our home for the next six days.
