What is your favorite Fly pattern?
For yellows, any fly with an orange bead. I would fish a bead on a hook with confidence. Orange beads form the cornerstone of the smallies meal plan.
What is your favorite species to fish for and why?
I’m going through a bit of a grunter obsession at the moment. Fishing for them on the mud flats with a JAM fly is a bit like an unsuccessful game of whack-a-mole. The most fun you can have blanking.
What fish is still on your bucketlist?
A largie. They have been evading me for a long time, but will be struck off the list soon in the Kalahari...hopefully.
What Is your preference to gear brands?
I’m a proper "gear-slut", so it’s hard to choose. That being said, Hatch reels give me a very warm and fuzzy feeling on the inside when the drag engages.

What makes fly-fishing so Addictive?
For me it’s the slog of figuring out a new specie/venue/technique and the elation when all the chips fall into place and you finally crack the code
What is your dream destination?
I’d love to swing flies for Skeena steelhead. (The editor had to google this...)
