Fall for these fall colours

The first day of autumn 2018 falls on Sept . 22 . One of the most obvious signs of the season , aside from cooler temperatures , shorter days and back-to-school shopping , is falling leaves .
An old weather proverb suggests that the timing of falling leaves can indicate how frigid and long the upcoming winter will turn out .
It states : “ If autumn leaves are slow to fall , prepare for a cold winter .”
Each year , the Pantone Institute releases a Fashion Colour Trend Report for the fall / winter season . It serves as a forecast , of sorts , on which hues will be popular for fashion in the autumn season .
The report is based on the hues that turned heads at New York Fashion Week earlier in the year .
For this fall , Pantone says “ autumnal hues that evoke the feeling of leaves on the forest floor ” will be among the most in-demand colours of the season for trend-conscious consumers .
With this in mind , here are some optical frames and shades that feature colours that remind us of beautiful fallen leaves .
