Johannes Moller, Omri van Zyl and Annelize Crosby of Agri SA, as well as judge Antonie Gildenhuys, addressed the leading producers from the Northwest province. Annelize gave the following advice to Agri NW members: • Choose your organisation with care and give it your full support; • Don't be thrown off track by politicising, scary stories and half truths; • Be informed; • Be proactive; • Build relationships at all levels. A number of resolutions were adopted, which included: regular and direct communication with members; influencing of government policy to pro­ mote certainty in respect of property rights; encour­ agement of private right of ownership of communal land; support of a land reform plan which has a stable and viable agri-sector as objective. Further resolutions included the improvement of alertness and safety on the farm yard; investigation into the establishment of an Agricultural Bank and support for Agri SA's "smart-disaster assistance plan”. It was a privilege for Senwes to be involved with this indus­ try organisation, which serves Senwes' customers, as a sponsor. 28 OCT/NOV 2017 • SENWES Scenario Lots of cricket action in 2017/2018 at Senwes Park Cricket enthusiasts can look forward to an action-filled 2017/2018 season at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. Apart from this international between the Proteas and Bangladesh fans can also look for­ ward to three-day and one-day Sunfoil matches of Northwest that will take place in November. The three-day and one-day Sunfoil matches of Northwest will take place in November: 2-5 November against Northern Cape, 9-12 November against Free State and 23-26 November against Western Province. Border will take on Northwest from 8 to 11 March 2018. The South African tour of England and Namibia’s under-19 teams will also take place at Senwes Park in December. The Momentum One- day Cup will be held at the end of December and over the New Year, with the Bizhub Highveld Lions in action.
