LUCILLE
RUDMAN
THE RIGHT PERSON AT CERTISURE TO
HELP PRODUCERS AND THE PUBLIC WITH
THE MEDIHELP MEDICAL SCHEME.
What is your position at Certisure?
Representative: Medical Aid Schemes
What are your duties at Certisure?
I assist personnel, pensioners, producers and the public
who are members of Medihelp with all their enquiries,
accounts, problems or authorisations. I also do quotations
for clients who may be interested in this medical scheme.
What do you regard as important in rendering a service to clients?
The clients must be put first and must be satisfied with
my service.
What does the future hold for this industry, in your
opinion?
Medical schemes are becoming very important and most
people understand the importance of having a medical
scheme and to have cover for when you need it most. I
think we will see a lot of changes in future in this industry, a lot of which will relate to changed legislation.
How long have you been with Certisure? Tell us a bit
about your history.
I started at Senwes in September 1999 and moved to the
Insurance Division on 1 June 2004 (now known as Certisure).
Where were you born and where did you grow up?
In the Klerksdorp area.
Family?
I am married to Charles Rudman and we have one
daughter, Liane, who is 6 years old.
Hobbies?
I paint in my free time and spend time with my family.
In the next issues we will focus on other Certisure personnel who assist producers and the public.

bundle and then potentially again shots 4 and 5,
after which the larger bundle is formed by shots
6, 7, 8 and 9. Please note that the shots will not
necessarily bundle in numerical order and that
shots of different loads can bundle in a backand- forth manner. It is more sensible, however,
to choose group loads from shots of successive
loads forming a bundle, since it would indicate
that successive loads are stable and that such
shots form a bundle. However, according to the
original theory, the centre shot in the bundle
should be chosen and loading should be done
around this load to shoot groups.
Selecting this group test load which forms
part of the bundle is not normally easy and it requires a lot of experience and interpretation. It
compelled me to establish an identification process for this group test load. I originally thought
that when shots bundle, there should be some
or other constant or minimum variation in the
speed of each of the shots. Fortunately I normally shoot over a chronograph, which enabled
me to compare the speed of the different loads
with a view to identifying some or other trend.
After having tested a number of calculations, a
specific trend was identified, which concurred
with the previous ladder results. The calculation
can be aligned with the concept of Absolute
Minima and Maxima in Calculus mathematics.
The application is quite simple in the case of
load development and can be explained as follows on the basis of the above ladder test.
The seconder part of this very interesting load
development article will appear in the August/
September issue of Senwes Scenario. But for
those who can’t wait, the second part of the article is available at the following link: http://bit.ly/
