TRANSMISSION The trend to buy automated/manual transmissions are increasing. The AMT started a revolution in the truck fleet market and Roux and Steenkamp confirm that 75% of the trucks being sold by them, are equipped with AMT-transmissions. The benefits have been proven from an operating and cost saving perspective and these systems require less maintenance. “Standing time remains an important factor, which is why customers turn to Isuzu Trucks for a reliable solution which saves time and money,” said Roux. Many of the medium range Isuzu trucks are equipped with an AMTtransmissions and they remain at the forefront with a carrying capacity of 2.5 to 8 tons.
