in Conversation TV series
NATION IN CONVERSATION IS PROUD TO WELCOME IMPERIAL ISUZU TRUCK CENTRE AS THE
OFFICIAL TRUCK SPONSOR OF THE NATION IN
CONVERSATION TV SERIES, A PLATFORM ON
WHICH AGRICULTURAL ISSUES ARE DISCUSSED
WITH THOUGHT LEADERS OF VARIOUS SECTORS.
“I
mperial Truck Centre is at the forefront of sales and after-sales service
amongst Isuzu truck agents in the country,”
according to Le Roux Roux, Franchise
Director, and Ben Steenkamp, Sales Manager
of their Isuzu agency. Their intention is to
continue their involvement in the series and
they are proud to be associated with the very
popular Nation in Conversation.
More about Imperial Isuzu Truck Centre
MARKET LEADER WITH NUMEROUS
AWARDS
Their truck sales are huge and
represent 12.75% of Isuzu's national sales with 4 346 units in 2015.
This feat resulted in Imperial Truck
Centre, Isando receiving the 2015
Top Volume Dealer award for 554
units sold, as well as first and second
place for the best sales executives.
Bronwyn Andrade received the
award for best sales executive and
Elzahn Heyns came second. “We
are proud of the performance of our
Isando branch, particularly our two
sales executives. Their hard work
is confirmed by these results,” said
Roux.
AFFORDABLE TRADEMARK
Roux insists that customers will
increasingly turn to “more affordable” trademarks as they become
more cost conscious.
TRANSMISSION
The trend to buy automated/manual transmissions are increasing. The
AMT started a revolution in the
truck fleet market and Roux and
Steenkamp confirm that 75% of
the trucks being sold by them, are
equipped with AMT-transmissions.
The benefits have been proven
from an operating and cost saving perspective and these systems
require less maintenance.
“Standing time remains an
important factor, which is why
customers turn to Isuzu Trucks
for a reliable solution which saves
time and money,” said Roux.
Many of the medium range Isuzu
trucks are equipped with an AMTtransmissions and they remain
at the forefront with a carrying
capacity of 2.5 to 8 tons. In respect
of the AMT-model the driver does
not use a clutch when pulling away,
changing gears or stopping. A gear
lever, accelerator and brakes only
are used, which saves thousands of
rands. Automatic or manual selection of gears can be used and clutch
abuse is eliminated.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TOPS
The truck workshop of Imperial
Truck Centre Isando and GM
Isando can service or repair 15
trucks and 40 vehicles per day. “The
centre has an extensive spare parts
division with stock to the value of
R6 million and offers 24-hour road
assistance to our customers,” Roux
added.
The agent in Bloemfontein
can service 25 trucks per day. The
workshop is open on Saturdays
(with prior arrangements) and
spare parts to the value of R1.5
million are stocked. Spare parts are
also delivered to customers in the
Bloemfontein district.
Roux and Steenkamp are confident that Isuzu Trucks will remain
the most popular trucks in South
Africa. “We have proven ourselves
as a reliable trademark in the fleet
sector and we grow every year.
Service is pivotal in our business,
which is in line with the core values of Isuzu.” We are also an Isuzu
“Bakkie” dealer.
