Organised agriculture is
increasingly seeking out the
voice of women in agriculture.
One such organisation is The
American Farm Bureau Federation which runs a Women’s
Leadership Programme to provide women with training and
education to equip them to become advocates for agriculture
and strengthen their ability to
encourage positive change in
their communities and in the
agricultural industry. Rebecca
Thistlethwaite, farmer and author of ‘Farms with a Future’
says, “I see women really pushing the envelope on innovating – they are often the ones

can’t we do this differently?
