Nico believes in the importance
of being part of something. This
is why he and his son, Dirkie,
are members of Agri Northwest.
Everyone has a function to fulfil
in organised agriculture. Together
with a number of other producers,
they were the recipients of the
300th fodder donation by Agri
SA.
MANAGING HIS LABOUR FORCE
As far as his labourers are concerned, Nico believes in one
thing very strongly - “Don’t
expect anything from them that
you are not prepared to do”. And
his record speaks for itself - some
of his labourers have been working for him for the past 25 to 30
years. In addition there should
be incentive bonuses for further
motivation.
It is evident that Nico and his
family are geared for farming.
