evenings or at night . They rarely clash .
Arita : What would your advice be for musicians and aspiring models who are starting out in these careers .
Marlon : I would tell them be prepared to work hard and never give up . Both industries are tough and you ' ll face a lot of rejection but use these rejections as motivation to get better . If you want it that bad , you will get it .
Arita : You are obviously successful in both of your chosen industries . What do you attribute your success to ?
Marlon : I ' ve learnt from early on in life , not to take things personally . Business is Business . I ' m open to criticism and I use it as a motivational tool to get better . I never see myself as the nished article so there is always room to Improve .
Arita : Is there any new music out / to be released that your fans can look out for ?
Marlon : We are currently in the studio working on a few new t r a c k s f o r R a d i o , t o b e released this summer . The rst one should be out in the next 2 weeks or so and it will also be available on the social media sites .
Arita : Who is your favourite musician
M a r i a n : T h a t ' s a t o u g h question . I have too many to count . Maybe if I break it down into Genres it would be easier .

Arita : Do you visit Jamaica often
Marlon : I haven ' t been to Jamaica in 7 years so a trip there is long overdue .
Arita : What would you say you miss most about Jamaica
Marlon : What I miss most about Jamaica is just how friendly and kind the people are . They always looking out for each other . I always miss that tropical climate and the warm oceans as well as the food , the culture , the music . I miss everything about Jamaica . ( chuckles )
Arita : What do you love doing in your spare time
Marlon : In my spare time I love watching sports . I ' m a big sports fan , I could watch sports a l l d a y . I ' m a l s o b i g o n documentaries , I ’ m all for learning new things . A lot of the songs that I ' ve written were during my free time as well . Blasting music and listening to my favorite Jams , is also s o m e t h i n g I l o v e d o i n g whenever I have spare time .
Arita : How can people keep track of all your upcoming concerts etc
Marlon : They can check out our Facebook Page : “ The Rudimentals ” to see when next we play and where .
Arita : The music industry is a very competitive one . What do you think gives you and your band ( the Rudimentals ), the edge that keeps you ahead and succeeding .
Marlon : We do it for the love and not the likes on social media . When it comes from the heart people can relate to it more . We spend more time on our craft and on getting better . Maybe if other artists focussed on their music rather than focusing on social media , they would be further along in their careers than where they are right now .
Arita : If you had to choose your favourite song that you have done , which one would it be
Marlon : Damn ! You like asking tough questions don ' t u ? ( laughs ) If I had to choose I ' d say “ Sound Boy Killa ”.
