On Saturday night, the Pro Stocks concluded the Phil's Propane Triple Crown Series with a thrilling 65 lap feature event. Early on, it was clear that the battle was coming down to Dave Darling and Tom Scully Jr. The two drivers pulled away from the pack and put themselves in position to battle it out themselves for the crown.

With just a few laps to go, Darling looked to the inside of Scully and the two drivers made contact. Darling went spinning in turn three and his chances of winning the Phil's crown went out the window. Scully was able to pull away from the rest of the field in the late laps, but had to hold off a last corner charge from Bobby Pelland coming to the line. This is the second straight Phil's Propane crown for Scully Jr. and it helped him inch closer in the championship standings. Darling will still hold the lead in the points.

We also had a 48 lap Late Model feature on Saturday. Although that may sound weird, we got two laps of the race in last week before it started raining and the race was postponed. This week, Ryan Kuhn started from the pole and never looked back en route to his first career win. He has been fast all year and this week he was able to put it all together.

The entire race white green minus a few small caution flags, and Dylan Estrella helped himself inch closer to the championship lead by finishing in second spot. The Rookie contingent in the Late Model division has been great all season long. This is now two straight Rookies winning.

The 25 lap Sports Trucks feature saw a thrilling battle come right down to the final corner. Mike Duarte led most of the race and Chase Belcher was right on his tail. Belcher was looking under him for much of the final five laps, but he made his move on the final lap and took down the victory. This win added another to Belcher's total and he has been strong all year. He is en route to another title.

The 30 lap Sportsman feature saw Chad Baxter take down the win. Baxter is driving for Richard Sprague this season and has been fast since week one. Points leader Scott Bruneau continued to open his points lead by finishing in second.

Next week the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour invades the third-mile for the second straight year. They have a tight points battle at the top and it will play out in front of all of us!
