A retrospective, descriptive study was conducted in the area of English with the teacher Lucrecia Molina and the students of 11 grade of the Nueva Colombia school in the city of Bogotá: This study was made in order to explore the knowledge about some aspects of sexuality, in a group of more of 100 adolescents between 10 and 19 years of both sexes, it was conducted during the months of May and July in 2018. It was appreciated a high percentage of young people who had knowledge about the anatomy of the genital tract, and contraception. In general, they know about contraceptive methods but they don´t know how to use them and the vast majority began their sexual life at an early age. The most relevant age group was 13 to 16 years old having a limited knowledge and license about sexuality.
In these graphs it can be shown that 68.5% of adolescents are sexually active and 69.9% do not use contraceptive methods.
Sexuality is a world of possibilities, it is very broad, it includes communication, affectivity, reproduction and pleasure, knowing it, living it, freely and responsibly is healthy and necessary for our personal balance, the body is base and for that reason it is important that we know about it well.
