TATTOOS
An old fashion that begins in adolescence gave us curiosity because we see this practices in the Nueva Colombia IED, high school students, so we asked about what motivated or encouraged them to perform tattoos on their bodies and why they did it from an early age.
According to the survey conducted during the months of May and June 2018, with 34 students, the 80.6% of them have their bodies decorated with tattoos and their reason or explanation for doing it according to their answers is firstly, because they want to show the strong bonds they have with their relatives and secondly just for curiosity.
What led us to delve into their ages was that there is not an ideal age to get a tattoo, but in some stores, it is prohibited tattooing because of the magnitude of problems that this decision cause. The most appropriated age is 16, because teenagers are still growing up physically and mentally. However, the results obtained indicate that 59.2% were tattooed between the ages of fourteen and sixteen, and 40.8% between the seventeen and eighteen, this rate of younger age is higher, but the survey states that 63.3% were properly supervised under the responsibility of their parents.
