Why do we move?

Are you one of those who are wondering why we should move to the new office?? Well,, The lease for Pioneer Sector 1 will expire in 2020. It means our previous office have to be demolished and the land to be returned to JTC. ya.., it is still another three and a half years to go, but better early than late :P

Innovative Building Concept

The building concept was initiated by Mr Kuah. He wanted a building with a ramp access to the roof so that there will be a larger parking space. This simple yet innovative idea was then refined by both Mr Gary Soon and Mr Loh PS with a preliminary design. Ace Architect was then engaged to make the building layout comply with regulatory requirements and to accentuate certain elements of the building to make it aesthetically pleasing. Finally, we have the beautiful Utracon building we see now!

The idea of having 2 blocks erected above the 3rd storey car park came as the initial plan was to have our worker dormitory to be housed at the same premises. One block was for Corporate HQ while the other was supposed to be for the dormitory. However, our application for dormitory was not approved by the authorities.

In view of that unsuccessful bid, we have instead made that premises our Utracon Academy of Prestressing cum BCA’s Approved Training & Testing Centre.
