UMCO: Spreading the value of Teamwork and Innovation
And so goes the story for Utracon Myanmar.
It was a few years back when most of the technical and operational support works for Utracon Myanmar are done in HQ Singapore office, from design/drawing preparation to logistics to equipment parts sourcing. And, every couple of weeks or so boss would fly out to meet potential clients or to have a technical meetings for existing projects. A task made challenging by distance and language.
Fast forward to present, with an office set-up and staffed with local engineers and supervisors, UMCO has made strides in establishing itself as a preferred project partner specializing in PT systems, formwork systems and precasting. Slowly, the office is now capable of doing its own marketing, operations, equipment maintenance and repair.
UMCO engineers have also undergone training in Singapore and Indonesia to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skill for future project/opportunities. As Henry Hartman said, " Success always comes when preparation meets opportunity."
True to Utracon culture, it is all hard work not only in the office but also in the field. Showing off their team work spirit, UMCO played a friendly match of football together with other local teams, all complete with jersey outfits (",). In addition, UMCO had their annual company outing at the beach last March.
What better way to exemplify the team's camaraderie than working hard, playing harder, and having fun hardest! Keep up the good work!
