With the aim of raising the profile of close-range travel, Tallink hired dSign Vertti Kivi & Co as the interior
designers of the shipping company’s new ferry in January 2015. The basis for the design concept was to be
found in Tallink’s passenger feedback and in future visions of ship travelling – visions combining relaxation,
work, and culinary revelations to ideal shopping opportunities.
The point was to make even adult passengers face the joy of adventure and exploring, instead of being
constantly weary of uneventful waiting onboard the ship.
