HI-FOG fire protection for the world’s largest cruise vessel H I-FOG, the high pressure water mist system supplied by Marioff, has been selected for the fire protection of the world’s largest cruise vessel, the Genesis project. The vessel is being built by Aker Yards, Turku, Finland for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. It will be delivered in 2009 and will carry 5,400 passengers. More than 13,000 sprinklers will cover all hotel spaces on the ship. In the machinery spaces the HI-FOG system will offer a significantly higher level of fire protection than required by international regulations. This order confirms Marioff’s position as the major supplier of water mist fire protection for marine and onshore applications. ■ Prospero Oy manufactures metal expansion joints since 1978 I n addition to expansion joints, we also mannufacture metal hose assemblies.
