New Tallink Shuttle

AS Tallink Grupp is introducing a
new high-speed passanger transport service, the Tallink Shuttle.
T
he vessel, which was manufactured by
Aker Yards, was launched and christened in the Aker Yards shipyard in Helsinki
in October 2006. It was dubbed STAR.
AS Tallink Grupp has also ordered a
similar fast vessel from the Italian company
Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani S.p.A.
The ship will be delivered in early 2008.
Currently Tallink transports passengers between Helsinki and Tallinn using
three high-speed vessels and two passenger ferries.
