Duty of Care Meets Thought Leadership

Attn. Stadium Ownership Groups: Properly safeguarding today's sporting events has become extremely complex based upon the numerous challenges facing the vertical. It takes bold thought leadership to stay ahead of the curve to best meet these challenges. With that being said, I submit to you the following questions:

Where in your operations model does Safety, Security, & Guest Services rank in terms of business continuity, resiliency, patron and brand protection?

Duty of care is the prevailing theme. There is simply no way around it.

Active shooter, workplace violence, slips, trips and falls, bomb scares, fires, IED, domestic, international, and lone wolf terrorism, inclement/severe weather, drones, intoxicated/hostile fans, the list goes on and on. These could all potentially occur in your stadium, venue, arena, festival, anyplace where large groups of people are gathered in densely populated areas.

Security Thought Leaders are not about instilling fear but rather creating a heightened awareness through event staff training, education and career development resources. When you are paying your part time (contracted) event staff $9-12 dollars an hour to safeguard your fans, athletes and brand, why not provide staff the necessary tools to be the most effective at doing their jobs?

Are you on board?
