How the Green Bay Packers Stretched Its End-of-the-Season Victory with an Immersive Microsite

The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, WI. The Packers have won 13 league championships—the most in NFL history—including nine NFL titles before the Super Bowl era and four Super Bowl victories.

Delighting Fans with a Dynamic Digital Experience

At the end of the 2016 regular season, the Packers had plenty to celebrate. At Week 11, after four consecutive losses and a 4-6 record, quarterback Aaron Rodgers famously declared, “I feel like we can run the table.” In true fairytale fashion, the Packers made a comeback and produced their eighth consecutive playoff berth and fifth NFC North championship in the last six years.

The Packers needed a quick but high-end solution to engage fans in the wake of their victory, and to maximize a real-time moment to drive traffic to their digital properties.

The Packers worked with Zoomph to leverage its then-beta Microsite Builder and publish an immersive site chronicling the team’s 2016 journey. The microsite recounts the season’s highs and lows via stunning visuals, playback reels, and authentic social media content.

By promoting their microsite across their main website and social channels, the team earned over 11.5k likes, 800+ retweets and shares, and hundreds of comments from delighted fans.
