Carriers use base transceiver station (BTS) hoteling. This means reusing a single base station location to support multiple distributed antenna systems (DAS) in a certain area.

A converged all-fiber network solution supports remote BTS locations at distances of up to six miles away, allowing you to plan your main distribution frame (MDF) so there is space for carriers to grow. And because upgrading to support additional users is so easy, carriers find the scalability advantage very attractive. If a Wi-Fi provider wants to use your headend to support citywide Wi-Fi, no problem. You have available space – give them access and charge them for leasing the space.
