When was your first SEAT Event?

SEAT Kansas City 2013

How would you describe SEAT? "SEAT is collaboration central. The environment for learning, sharing and growing with peers and partners is unrivaled in the conference circuit."

Brand most admired... and why?

Google. Constant innovation, never afraid of trial and error in a big way.

What was your first thought when you woke up this morning?

I wonder if my two children are awake.

Where did you go to college?

UC Santa Barabara

What career advice do you have for people wanting to work in the sports industry?

Put your head down and do good (or great) work. The leaders of our industry come from a time when your work, earned you a promotion and pay increase.

You've been given an elephant. You can't give it away or sell it. What would you do with it?

Seems like a fun pet for my five year old son.

How would you convince someone to do something they didn't want to?

I've spent a great deal of time over the last year studying Stoicism and the basic principle of "nothing worth achieving is accomplished with ease." I regularly remind my staff that great ideas and big opportunities will come with a mountain of challenges and naysayers. Otherwise the idea isn't big enough. It's fun to watch them process and get equally excited about the challenge and the idea.

What was your first job you ever had?

Working for my father in his silk screening shop.

What do you like most about the sports industry or the business of sports?

No day is the same. Nothing else compares to gameday.

What inspires you?

Watching colleagues grow in their roles and achieve.
