Join us for Opening Night of our 32 nd summer . Our celebrated house band , the Blue Canvas Orchestra , headlines the evening led by Ed Willett . Soloist and long-time BCO member Jack Gunderson is in the spotlight performing his signature ballads and jazz stylings that have been described as “... velvety smooth and emotive ; Jack ’ s voice enraptures the audience and makes the ladies alternate between swooning and reaching for their handkerchiefs .” The BCO , with a special appearance by local favorite Bruce Burnside , will perform new and familiar material from some of Big Top ’ s favorite original shows . Members of this group have been entertaining Big Top audiences since 1986 . Our big screen images , curated by Co-Founder and Visuals Director Betty Ferris , will be featured as well , rounding out the evening ' s feast for all of your senses .

For more than thirty years Riders In The Sky have been keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers , Gene Autry and Roy Rogers , reviving and revitalizing the genre . And while remaining true to the integrity of Western music , they have themselves become modern-day icons by branding the genre with their own legendary wacky humor and way-out Western wit , and all along encouraging buckaroos and buckarettes to live life “ The Cowboy Way !”
Two-time Grammy winners , Riders In The Sky are the only exclusively Western music artist to join the Grand Ole Opry . In 1988 , they recorded comedy skits for the album “ Riders Radio Theatre ” and launched the long-running international weekly radio show of the same name on public radio .
