From houses of worship to houses of blues, Ruthie Foster has
always been a rafter-rattler. And with a soul-filled voice honed
in Texas churches, she can move audiences to tears or ecstasy –
sometimes in a single song. Her two albums, 2009's The Truth
According to Ruthie Foster and 2012's Let It Burn, moved the
Recording Academy to deliver Best Blues Album Grammy
nominations. Her latest release, Promise of a Brand New Day,
earned her a third Grammy nod in 2015. We welcome Ruthie
back for her third visit to the Big Top stage.

For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the
quintessential American band. The group's distinctive and
powerful sound, influenced by Texas blues, swamp blues,
R&B and rock, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid
via such barnburners as "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap It Up." Jonny
Lang is a Grammy Award-winning American blues, gospel
and rock singer, songwriter, guitarist and recording artist.
When he first appeared on the stage at the age of 16, he was
known as Kid Jonny Lang – heralded for his gritty blues voice
and his amazing guitar solos. Since then he has toured with
The Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, B.B. King and Eric Clapton.

Ireland's Folk Band of the Year, The High Kings are Finbarr
Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden.
Coming from impressive musical pedigrees, The High Kings
grew up soaked in the Irish musical tradition. Since 2008, they
have sold out hundreds of shows in Ireland and the U.S., and
achieved platinum status with their first two albums. This
year they're joined by fellow Irish Fest performers Socks in
the Frying Pan, a multi-award winning trio from County
Clare whose dynamic vocal harmonies, virtuosic musical
ability and their onstage wit has captured and captivated
audiences the world around.
