Often called the father of American folk music, Seeger was a major inspiration for generations, not only for his music but also for social justice and environmental issues. Expect to hear familiar tunes such as "Goodnight Irene," "If I Had a Hammer," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," and "Turn! Turn! Turn!" as well as writings by and about the great, gentle man. American R&B band Tower of Power is best known for their driving horn section and their funky soul sound with syncopated bass-guitar lines. Coming out of the San Francisco Bay area in the late 60's, Tower of Power was one of the bands that helped to define the "San Francisco Sound." Over the years, the powerful horn section of the Tower has recorded with hundreds of artists as diverse as Aerosmith, Elton John, Little Feat, Phish, Santana and Heart, forever infusing the radio airwaves with Tower's musical DNA.
