Join us on the 20th anniversary of "Pie & Politics" as we
celebrate both the practical promise and the symbolic potential
of seeds. This year's event will feature Bill McDorman, cofounder of the widely recognized Seed School and the Rocky
Mountain Seed Alliance. McDorman demonstrates that seeds
are living, breathing embryos that hold the blueprint of our
future, and shows that this gift from nature can be a model for
our own vitality and vigor as communities. Area youth will
join Bill to offer their own seeds of sustainability as they share
ideas, concerns and hopes for our future through word, music
and movement. Don't forget to mark your calendar for Seed
School on July 20th.

Lyle Lovett and his Large Band delivers the most amazing
night of classic entertainment north of Texas. A 4-time
Grammy award-winner, Lovett is a singer, composer and actor
who has broadened the definition of American music in a
career that spans 14 albums. Along with his gift for storytelling
and a wry wit, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of
Americana, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a conventiondefying manner that breaks down barriers. Lovett's live
performances show not only the breadth of this Texas legend's
deep talents, but also the dive rsity of his influences, making
him one of the most compelling and captivating musicians in
popular music.
In 2014 the dynamic team of Severin Behnen and Corey
Carlson put together our first Opry show which celebrated
the best of the Grand Ole Opry from the 30s, 40s and 50s. Our
next installment of great country and western music takes us
from the mid-60s through the early 80s with music from Opry
icons like Willie & Waylon, Dolly & Loretta, Johnny Cash,
Merle Haggard, Glen Campbell, Charley Pride and Tammy
Wynette. This show features the Blue Canvas Orchestra with
Corey Carlson and special guests Andy Dee, Randy Sabien,
Joe Savage, Danielle Diamond, Emily Belanger and Lizzie
Herriott.
