Long known as one of the best live acts in the business,
Wisconsin's own BoDeans continue to tour and deliver amazing,
high energy, performances. They were one of the bands that
inspired a new radio format known as Adult Alternative
Album Rock. Their reputation for delivering a dynamic live
show garnered support slots with U2, Bob Dylan and David
Bowie, and appearances at Farm Aid, Summerfest, and Austin
City Limits. Their songs defined a sound of a generation – songs
like "Good Things," "If It Makes You," "Closer to Free" and "All the
World," which was recently featured on CMT. The BoDeans are
also celebrating their 30-year anniversary of their debut record,
Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams.

Ride the winds of time and have fun while you learn in this
classic "illuminated musical history" of Bayfield and the Island
Environs, with secrets of Red Cliff and Old LaPointe. Original
music and song-stories tell the tales while the Big Screen shines
with hundreds of then and now photos featuring Lighthouse
Keepers, Ojibway life, dreamers & schemers, town scenes,
Voyageurs, sailing, fishing, the big flood and more. Created
in 1985 by Warren Nelson and Betty Ferris (Nelson Ferris
Concert Company), "Riding the Wind" was the first show
performed on the Big Top Stage and is still a season highlight.
Perhaps the biggest new hit of last summer was this musical
gem from the team of Severin Behnen, Stevie Matier and
Bruce Burnside. "Belfast to Bluegrass" is a musical adventure of
jigs and ballads as they travel to the Appalachian Mountains by
way of a quarter of a million Scots Irish. Before the United States
was formed, the inhabitants were absorbing, merging and
transforming the ethnic sounds of its people. Hear the changes
in the traditional Celtic tunes as bluegrass and other genres
are being born of our traditional American musical culture.
Performed by the Blue Canvas Orchestra and special guests.
