THE MAVERICKS Thu . JUL 23 , 7:30PM
The Mavericks are back – touring in support of their newest album “ MONO ,” their second after a decade-long musical hiatus . The country-steeped garage band that emerged from Miami in 1989 has reunited and is embarking on a major world tour . Two decades have passed since their polyrhythmic brand of post-modern country gave the world “ All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down ,” “ Here Comes The Rain ” and “ Dance The Night Away .” The band , led by the Cuban-born singer Raul Malo , has a vintage sound with a genre-defying Tejano / Country / Roy Orbison vibe that creates an infectious energy in their celebrated live performances .
