Last year the tournament had 15 Reno WOW champions, 68 Reno WOW placers, 99 High School State qualifiers, 40 CA State Placers, 7 CA State Champions, 1 Oregon State Champion, 1 Nevada State Champion and 4 CA State Runner Up's.

Shaw expects the following ranked wrestlers in the nation to be in attendance as well.as many state place winners and qualifiers from California.

Justin Mejia – Clovis No. 11 at 113 pounds, Israel Saavedra – Modesto No. 12 at 126 pounds, Isaiah Hokit – Clovis No. 19 at 138 pounds, Ralphy Tovar – Poway No. 18 at 145 pounds, Justin Thomas – Santiago No. 14 at 152 pounds and, Colt Doyle – Poway state champion at 160 pounds, Austin Flores – Clovis North at 170 pounds.

“I want to invite any out of state wrestlers and teams to join us and get a taste of what the Golden State has to offer. To be considered the best, you have to wrestle and beat the best”. – Shawn, said.

Many college programs like Cal Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal Poly, Arizona State, Menlo, Fresno City and many more will be in attendance with the hopes of recruiting the next diamond in the rough.

* Rowlands wrestled for The Ohio State University from 2001-2004. During his career at Ohio State, he was a 2x NCAA Champion, 3x NCAA Finalist, 4x NCAA All-American, and 2x Big Ten Champion. He is the career record holder at Ohio State for takedowns (705), wins (164), and team points (703). Rowlands graduated from Bishop Ready High School in Columbus Ohio 1999. He was a two-time Ohio state champion (1997-99) and the 1999 National High School champion with a career high school record of 167-10 with 98 pins. He was also 2001 Big Ten freshman of the year.
