The delicious sauces and rubs you know and love are doing more than attracting guests and contributing to your bottom line – they are also helping a good cause . Buffalo Wild Wings ® donates a portion of every sauce bottle sale to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America . These donations not only support a good cause , but they also help drive sales and encourage customers to return .

In 2016 , Buffalo Wild Wings donated nearly $ 1.8 million dollars from the sale of sauce and seasonings , which represents over half of the funding for ALL STARS grants .
Laura Rutten , who heads up community relations and cause marketing for Buffalo Wild Wings , said sauce and rub sales are a critical part of the Team Up for Kids TM fundraising , and restaurants use numerous methods to drive sauce and rub sales .
“ Restaurants have increased sauce and seasonings sales in a variety of ways ,” said Rutten . “ They have set up tables to feature the full line-up of sauce bottles on Community Day , have focused on selling sauce bottles with gift card purchases for Dads & Grads and the holidays , practiced suggestive selling of sauces with take-out orders , sold sauce bottles at community events and run server incentive contests for sauce bottle sales during ‘ grilling season ’ where appropriate .”
Rutten added that in 2016 , Buffalo Wild Wings donated nearly $ 1.8 million dollars from the sale of sauce and seasonings , which represents over half of the funding for ALL STARS grants . Through these grants , BWW provides clubs with funding to create and improve flag football , basketball , cheer and dance teams for boys and girls . This year , Buffalo Wild Wings added dance teams to the list of sports supported in clubs . In addition to funding , clubs also receive coach training , equipment , jerseys and tools to run a team .
AMPAL Group experienced success in their sauce bottle sales using creative methods . Their sauce and rub sales spike during the holiday season , but they normally sell approximately 100 bottles per month . Guests typically purchase a sauce crate , which is a pack of three sauces at a time .
The cashiers with AMPAL Group practice “ suggestive selling ” to help drive sales . They suggest a sauce bottle – or three – with every gift card purchase to utilize their special sauce bottle gift card holder , which slides over the top of the sauce bottle , and
